Kappa Delta Chi Sorority was founded on April 6, 1987 at Texas Tech. Four young women Cynthia Garza-Fleitman, Nellie Flores-Ledesma, Irene Montoya and Melissa Montoya wanted to unify and promote leadership amongst Hispanic women.

 

With the strong foundations of community service, and friendship, they created a sisterhood that 30 years later continues to empower women and gives back to communities across the nation. They sought to incorporate the principles of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership into an organization that would last
a lifetime.
